She smiled (2)

by EmotionallyDisturbed   Dec 24, 2007

She smiled as the ocean wind whipped across her face. The salty tears mixed with the salty ocean drops creating a salty mixture of painful joy. She embraced the pain and breathed in one huge gulp of ocean air. One last breath, one last blink, one last laugh, one last dance, one last kiss. She raised her arms up like the wings of an eagle and jumped. She jumped over the edge of the cliff, she soared with her newly found wings all the way down. There was no time for second thoughts, in a flash it was over. All over. The pain, the mess, the problems. All over. It’s amazing how much simpler and easier life could be when you just jumped. And if your wings fail you ? All the better.
