Strength.

by ThisFeelingOfIntoxicationIsSpectacular   Dec 24, 2007

It's in moments like these

In the deafening silence, alone in the dark

Do you realize how strong you actually are.

To hold back the tears

And fight of the loneliness

Is a majesty in itself.

You know that because you are alone

And there is no one to witness

You can break down and cry

But you don't

Not because you are ashamed,

Because you are strong.

And with this strength comes great beauty

That shatters the brokenness in itself.

And you realize that although

They didn't care enough to keep their promises

You couldn't give a damn,

For with this strength

You could carry the world alone.

And sweetheart, I promise,

Someone will come who is worth the chance

And they will give you the world.
