Serenade of a Masquerade

Pretty people on there way
shiny fluffy through their day
ring a bell and get your way
I'll meet you at the masquerade

look at all these wondrous masks
smiling there and smiling back
what a worthy serenade
join me to the masquerade

all the way its fun and games
while sad people make their quiet claims
but some emotions aren't cliched
I'll see you at the masquerade

From a horrid archetype
perfect Cinderella before midnight
but its all a facade
The horror of the masquerade

But once you step outside the door
Although the hate and pain downpour
the pretty people are on there way
shiny happy through their day

And even though the masquerade
wasn't on this very day
There are still all these wondrous masks
smiling there and smiling back

I would really appreciate feedback and criticism, This was one of the hardest poems to write because of the cold fact that there is a unfortunate lack of rhyming words for masquerade. Also there is a HUGE amount of symbolism in it so if u read this and its just me describing a dance then i think u need to reread. thanks again)*
