My Hammering Heart (The Sincerest Of Sins)

by Confined   Dec 24, 2007

This machine;
Made of muscle,
Beating and bleeding,
With every painful
Move I make.

I build Before they can break.

All the words, snuffed
And strangled out in my throat,
The sound loud,
And deafening.
Cant possibly have been mine.
After all, what is there left?
The remains, remain twisted
And distorted, for me this,
Is it.

The cracks.
They wont soon heal,
But I feel that niether will yours.
So why dont we
Mend those
Old, old memories
And lay them to rest.

Because maybe,
All anyone needs is
That dose of adrenline
You gave me.
