She's falling

by MeltInHisArms   Dec 25, 2007

I stand there on dirt watching as rain comes in piles,
why is it raining when there should be sun on tile?

She's falling. Help her.
Why don't you help her?

She's screaming his name as he stands there clueless,
she's on cliffs edge and seems so helpless.
Her foot slips and she reaches for him,
he sees her but stays as if his arms are dead limbs.

She's falling. Help her.
Why don't you help her?

She goes tumbling down the edge! How long will this last?
but he just stays there watching her go down fast.

She's falling. Help her.
Why don't you help her?

I rushed to the edge but like always I was too late,
I saw her scramble body fall to its fate.

Why? Why didn't you save her? I screamed in a rush,
when he didn't answer me, I looked down and my face went flushed.
There laid a body of a broken girl who I hated every day,
the one who always pushed the ones she loved away.
Now when she needed them the most they couldn't be there,
for she made it seem like she never would care.
I looked at the body and cried for what I could see,
for that girl at the cliffs bottom happened to be me.
