Good bye christmas

Merry Christmas to all
and to all a good night
last night i saw
Chris Kringle in flight

but now Christmas has come
and it is about to go
i can no longer hear Santa
saying ho ho ho

so please don't worry
no need to fear
Christmas will come around
again next year

yes another twelve months
and a long one it will be
but the more we are together
the shorter it will be

so i tell you now
and don't you forget
that Christmas is
the best holiday yet

now my time has come
and now i must go
Santa will return
when the ground is covered in snow

he is going home now
to prepare for next year
and he will return
with all that Christmas cheer
