I'll Be Home With A Story To Tell

by brie kelly wise   Dec 26, 2007

Someday I'll tell you about my adventures
But for now let's find the nearest open door
I'm living in an empty cage, the key between my teeth
My greatest story to tell will be the day I started this universal war
My earth shattering comments had to come out sometime
I was bottled up sailing across the seas waiting for a nice young man
It just so happened to be my worst enemy, I like to call land
After a few words and a bottle of his best kind, I became his biggest fan
My heart beat like a little schoolgirl as I contemplated the worst that could happen
I swung around on the branches to get a feel of the new world and it's days alone
I ended up coming across a broken tree limb that had a lot to tell about its past
From its shadow the sky had a story to tell and somewhere in those inspiring words I'll find my home
