A PROMISE...!!!
Before, I was even a twinkle in your eye,
God chose you to be my mom until I die;
He promised me, that you'll hug me 'first',
Who won't ever allow me to feel worst!

You'll teach me the language, to face this world,
That'll help me in the times when I might be curled;
You'll help me in walking through many a long roads,
So as to get the pleasure of being counted in modes!

God also promised, that you'll make me learn things,
That'll make me rise and possess me with wings;
You'll provide me with everything that helps to survive,
Which'll surely give me fame, reputation and thrive!

Then, finally god sent me on earth to you my angel,
You cared for me, understood me, blessed me as an angel;
You loved me in excess with all your heart,
To have it for eternity and never to part!

This is a promise slowly being engrained in you,
You gave me your hand to hold and let it be, be only you;
You wiped all my tears with no questions asked,
Your feelings for me, will no more be masked!

The promise of scoldings meant your sacrifice, for me,
I understood it and made our lives anew for you and me;
Now,I promise, that none of your sacrifice will go dry,
I'll surely, let you see your name high up in the sky!
