Back To The Times When. .

by FlawlesslyTarnished   Dec 26, 2007

I know it's kinda long.
but please take the time to read it.

How come we can't go back to the times
when all we cared about were each other's friendship?
Back to the times when we only worried about whether our outfit
was cute and it didn't matter if we looked 'hot' or not. .
Back to the times when we didn't have to dress
like s l u t s to get noticed by a guy. .

Back to the times when we were all so naive
and thought that pokemon was the world. .
Back to the times we would freak out
over something little like spilt orange juice. .
Back to the times when we were too clueless
to worry about the little things in life. .
Back to the times when we were too stupid
to piece things together, so our despairs were minimal. .

Back to the times when we didn't have to fight with our parents 24/7. .
Back to the times when it didn't matter what friends we had
because our parents didn't care. .
Back to the times when we didn't have to lie
just to go hang out with our friends. .
Back to the times when all we wanted
was a pony or a cd player or a cell phone,
but we were too young to have one. .

Back to the times when boys hadn't taken over our world yet. .
Back to the times when we would stay up all night
just to talk to our friends until 3 in the morning. .
Back to the times when it didn't matter if we were tired or not,
but we'd stay up just to talk. .

Back to the times when we could still say things like
"then i put it in my mouth" or "then i licked it off"
without it sounding perverted. .
Back to the times before them boys learned the term
"that's what she said" and then overuses the phrase. .
Back to the times when boys were no necessities to our lives. .
Back to the times when s e x wasn't such a big deal
or requirement for being in a relationship or even for life. .

Back to the times when we didn't know what depression was. .
Back to the times when cutting wasn't a solution,
and throwing a fit was the best thing to do. .
Back to the times when we were happy, before we were broken. .
Back to the times when we cried for reasons
other than those stupid boys. .

Back to the times when we didn't have to change ourselves,
just to fit in with a bunch of hypocrites and s l u t bags. .
Back to the times when we didn't have to fake our smiles
or pretend our well being. .
Back to the times when jealousy didn't dictate our actions. .

Back to the days when the truth didn't have to hurt so much. .
Back to the times when trusting our friends
wasn't such an issue. .
Back to the times when everything fell into place
just because we got to be with our friends.

please. comment.

This poem gives out a strong message: Why can't we go back to the times when it all went well. The poem itself is a mess! The lines are confusing and there is no paragraphs. That's all for that peice 4/5
