A very true poem, I wasn't expecting this to be what it was from the title, but it's good to see the opposite side of what most people write about. The positive, stopping side of cutting. A good piece, with good flow and basic, yet effective rhyme. Well done. 5/5

This is an excellent write and many readers would agree with you on this. Cutting solves nothing in life but facing reality of life, moving on, adapting to change, and overcoming our losses, and mistakes will make us stronger people.

Well, my guess is that it's P&Q glitches that make your words seperate like they did (where the ' should have been.) So I'll look past those :P.
I love the message in this. It's about time somebody said something, and did so in a nicer way than 'shut up you stupid emo'....My sister gets called an emo alot (she isn't one, and she doesn't cut, she just likes the style...'scene' i guess.) And it really puts her in a bad mood when people are rude to others, when they don't even know who they're talking to. So thanks for saying it in such a way that won't hurt anybody too much. lol good ol' poetry. Say anything with a little rhyme and fancy words, and you'll get away with anything eh? haha jk.

This is such a great poem with a powerful message. I loved your use of words because you came accross gently - most people seem to say "You're so stupid for cutting yourself" but your poem has a softer tone :)

"But if you keep cutting yourself
They'll never find their star"

These two lines are just SO amazing, so much meaning behind them.

I don't think you understand why people cut themselves....
Like some people try to kill themselves by doing it, but hats pretty hard.. Unless they use a dodgy knife then they could get like an infection which is fair fatal in the blood stream.
But most people do it to relieve pain... And it helps, and works... Like I could be crying my heart out so hard that I start choking fo air, and then I cut myself and I just go calm and stuff.. It's liek a drug.. Just completely mellows me out...........
But yeah, nice poem.... :]

Something you don't see everyday. A poem to NOT cut. I agree with everything you said however. I've been through some tough crap but you always know you can get through it, and you don't need to resort to things like that. I loved this poem. Good job!!

I like this poem its reali good... i have never read a poem about this.. however even though i like it i have to say that i was a cutter not that long ago and there are many reasons why people do it, its hard for others to understand, depression is why i done what i done.. b4 i done it i used to say why why do ppl do this and i also used to say that i will never ever do it.. but because of depression i ended up doing one thing that i always used to say i never would, because razors were my way of dealing..
however with all that said this is a good poem and keep up the good work...

It was well written, and i understand where your coming from. But remember than on thew other hand, this could offend alot of ppl. i used to cut myself and its terrible but shit happens, and ppl hurt. i think its a bit short sighted to write what u did, 2 really understand you have to go throught it yourself. just remeber that ppl often have very different points of view and come from alot of different places in life.
