Hidden Heartbreak

by Charlie   Dec 26, 2007

If not by day, it will by night,
The bleeding heart stays out of sight.
Behind the smile and sparkling eyes,
Find not the broken soul that cries.

The lips will lie the fairly tale
And leave alone the crying hale,
For ice that builds around the heart,
Will keep the frozen worlds apart.

Build up the face and stand up tall,
A whole new day for you to fool.
And when the moon comes out to keep,
The heart will cry itself to sleep.
