You changed my life for the better
I used to have a
Low self esteem
That's how I started high school with
Putting myself down left and right
Then you came back into my life
First we were friends
Then we became lovers
You captured my heart
From the start
I know longer had the need
To put myself down
I felt special in some way
As I look back
I was always emotionally abused
By some of my past boyfriends
You don't do that to me
You make me feel like nothing could hurt me
As long as I'm with you
Out of anyone in the high school
You picked me
A lowly freshman
But I'm glad that you did
I don't know
Or care to know where I would be without you
As long as I'm yours
I'm the happiest person alive
