Mummy, if i could talk

by A girl broken until   Dec 27, 2007

I tried to tell you mummy,
but it so hard,
i speak my own language,
i thought youd understand,
i cant control it,
my mind isnt like yours,
maybe one day,
but until then,
i need patience,
i need forgiveness,
i know im different,
out of control,
i try so hard mummy,
i want to tell you so badly,
im broken,
please fix me mummy,
just for a moment,
kiss it better,
let me say i love you,
just once,
i think it everyday,
but words are hard,
emotions are harder,
you cry,
i dont mean to laugh,
i want to say sorry,
i want to make you smile,
happiness makes you who you really are,
smiles make you shine,
maybe if i could make you smile,
make you shine,
youd know how i feel,
i only want to say a few words mummy,
so youd know how much i care,
i want to tell you,
how much youre worth,
i just want to say thank you,
for loving me,
just like i love you,
one day,
ill tell you
make you smile,
make you shine,
because i love you.

This is such a beautifully sad piece, I enjoyed it from start to finish and it touched my heart. I agree with the above I also got that image though I also seen it as a child who wasn't able to talk yet. I like this because it can be interpreted in many different ways which catches my interest. The whole piece was heart wrenching. I liked the format and the style it was different but flowing. Well done on writing an intriguing piece. Keep it up. I look forward to checking out some more of your work over time. ~Mel
