Blind

In the lost city and Angel wonders in the night,

Looking for someone out into the distance,

The fog is broken by her night and shining amour,

Only to be let down by the wall dividing them.

Her heart races to find the words to say,

Her fingers tremble in disbelief that this is real,

A shadow is cast,

Now he is gone again.

This girl is left shattered lying on the floor,

Staring hopelessly in to distance,

Hearing the ticking on her love clock,

Knowing time is running so very thin.

As she looks back into the past,

She tries to believe thats all she needs,

Knowing deep downside she cant survive without him,

And every time she sees him with her, it breaks her heart.

She ponders on how this happened in the first place,

One day a girl entered a world of uncertainness and insecurity,

To be broken by the words he said,

That made everything in her life feel like it was ok.

He was there when the drama happened,

To comfort and help her through those times,

To bad hes not here to see the end result,

That she covers with a smile but within her eyes the hurt lies.

She longs for that passion that they once shared,

With ends there are new beginnings,

Someone to hold your hand through anything.

To weather the storm together as one and not alone.

She wants him: the urge body to body lost in love,

She needs him: lips locked under one bind,

She cant have him: roses die a new daisy grows in her spot,

Hes blind to whats in front of him: settles for less than more.
