Protector

Love so golden and new
Love so shiny and bright
You're my sword and my shield
That protects me every night.

Fights away all the darkness
Kills my demons too
Lends a helping shoulder
I am indebted to you

You're an angel from heaven
You're my sun in the sky
That eternally burns through my soul
The person there when I cry

    I liked this very much David, sometimes I think there is so much beauty in something being said simplistically but with emotion and sincerity,nice rhymes and flow.

    I think the ending needed a bit more closure BUT once again i liked it. It was a great poem that i feel like i can relate to. You created great imagery with the words chosen to pull in the reader from the very first line. loved it
