Abbreviations in poetry , such as 'b/c' instead of because are a no-no, but the depth and truth of your poem wasn't lost in translation because of it. Keep practicing and you'll get alot better

Everybody has their own style of writing poetry so I disagree with FallenAngel's comment...you want to abbreviate?go ahead..if it fits you/your poem. btwe this was a very well written poem, you're emotion was stated clearly...you're friend should know they have a great friend looking out for them-wonderful poem.
