The Greater Good

by Coldstone   Dec 30, 2007

Looking in the mirror
Stunned by what i saw
I saw a woman
Dignified, respected, stern
Suddenly the image dissappeared
To form another one
This one of a girl
Humourous, stupid, innocent
I was surprized for this was
Me at the age of 14
At that time i never thought i would
But i did for the greater good
I changed because i had a goal to achieve
And i understood that i won't ever reach
If i stayed the same and acted cheap
It wasn't easy i had to choose
Heart or brain? What do i choose?
I made a decision,set an aim
I knew i would gain
I chose brain
My choice, my attempt
Gave me what i once dreamt
I changed because i had a goal to achieve
And i understood that i won't ever reach
If i stayed the same and acted cheap.
