The wind blows with the beat of my heart,
While the chill travels through my veins every second we're apart
I shut my eyes and picture us together,
Wishing the thought would last forever
And then forms an image so vibrant and bold,
And thoughts of us apart are left behind in the cold,
And the warmth of your presence ignites a spark
Which burns so brightly and lights up the dark
As I imagine the warmth of your touch,
Bringing solace and happiness that's needed so much,
My heart dances as I smile with glee,
And I feel the warm sun shining down on me
Suddenly, the ice cold rain drops strike my face hard,
So painfully sharp like a penetrating glass shard,
Then before my eyes tumble shattered dreams,
Splintering into pieces is all that it seems.
