Memories Erased

I'll make you a deal with hope that all will be fine,
lets swap lives, gives me yours and ill give you mine

wait, no, second thoughts can u make so i can travel into the past?
then I can just erase all the damaging memories that seem so vast.

I wish it was that easy and simple to do,
then I would only be left with happy memories my whole life through.

But then if I wiped them out there would be a huge empty gap,
I guess its meant to be this way, my mind living in its own mental trap.
