Blade

by Rebecca   Dec 31, 2007

The sharp blade is boundless, no ties
Blood trails lead to your empty lies.
Broken, only a serrated piece of steel
Back away; this blade won't make a meal.

A mind of its own, tormented by sin
Run away, this blade will always win.
Don't get any closer, it's a vile killer
Its reputation is all in a scary thriller.

How many pieces can it shatter?
Don't mind it, it really doesn't matter.
It shines in the light, gleaming cold
Stay away, no one can make it hold.

You don't want to be its next prey
It's filled with black deeds, even today.
It's already committed a wicked crime
The day is done and now it's long time.

Put it away before it's used once more
In a golden case, close the locked door.
Until it is needed again to take a life
The life of this blade holds much strife.

I really like this piece. I'm very interested in what your inspiration was, devising a sword that seems to hold bad intentions like that. Anyway, it was well written, and original to boot!

    Keep up the good work!
