As the days gone by

As the days gone by
I'm still yearning
Like the grief I am
Like the tears I'll be

Linger with the balance of life and the after life

Time passes me by like a song I have never sung

With words and lust I can write
With the pain and illusions I can't define

Search for what I would never find
What I would never see

I care not of what I could find
But of what I would feel
For too many unsaid words
Too many broken promises I've kept
Unwitting as I am of a future that could never be

Wishing for the minutes gone by where I could fly
I live only for the desires that has eaten me up inside

But for a soul that has been taken
With nothing to support me
I will lay my head now
As the days gone by
