Vermonticide

by Marc DeGuzman   Jan 2, 2008

"Bet you didn't think I couldn't be promiscuous
Bet you didn't think I couldn't use this cutesy tongue."
That's what you told me through such devilish action
But now I'm taking charge and taking back what's mine

I want my heart back in my hands
And I want you to stop screaming
Stop screaming at me like it's my
As if it was my fault all along

Baby, didn't think I'd notice?
I know you're too busy with him
Too busy to just notice me
Too busy with him to care at all

With his hands on your waist and your hands on his back
With your arms to the wall and his legs to your thighs
Did you mean it when you said, "I love you"?
Were you honestly in love with me?
With your head shooting up and his waist against yours
With his words to your ear and his name from your mouth
Did you mean it when you said, "I love you?"
Were you honestly in love with me?

Don't wanna give myself back to you
Don't wanna love immaturity
Cause you've stuck more knives into me
Than I've stuck myself onto you

And if you go, I'll go as well
But I'll take a noose, not a car
I'll take the crowds on, you'll take my heart
When they storm the stage, I'll have it back

With his hands on your waist and your hands on his back
With your arms to the wall and his legs to your thighs
Did you mean it when you said, "I love you"?
Were you honestly in love with me?
With your head shooting up and his waist against yours
With his words to your ear and his name from your mouth
Did you mean it when you said, "I love you?"
Were you honestly in love with me?

I was never afraid of crying until I met you
Then the flow of my tears became like the flow of my blood
But can I honestly tell you I'm giving up on you?
I don't wanna let go but you're pushing me off this cliff
I'll rock you slowly in my arms, but don't let him take that
I'll kiss you on the forehead and sing you all of my songs
But don't let him hold you like I do, don't let him sing my songs
Don't let him take my place, don't let him become the new "me"

With his hands on your waist and your hands on his back
With your arms to the wall and his legs to your thighs
Did you mean it when you said, "I love you"?
Were you honestly in love with me?
With your head shooting up and his waist against yours
With his words to your ear and his name from your mouth
Did you mean it when you said, "I love you?"
Were you honestly in love with me?
