Wasted Away on Valentine's Day

by Marc DeGuzman   Jan 2, 2008

Do you refuse to call with the fear of falling in love?
Baby, baby, I won't bite - there's nothing to be afraid of.
I'll just hold you tight, and I'll treat you so right.
Oh, honey, listening to your voice is like my new high.

I could buy any drug, but I can only earn you.
You are the instigator of all my heart and truth.
I could fall apart with but your smallest kiss
Oh, if only you could know the pain I'm in

I won't hurt you, but promise not to kill me
Don't kill me with that figurative knife
Those words that weave into a blade
Baby, how could you do such a thing to me?
Do you refuse to fall in love?
Do you fear falling in love?
Do you fear this broom I hold?
The broom with which I'll sweep you off your feet

Look at me in the eye and you'll see I'm not a beast
But your recent lack of care certainly broke the leash
The animal rages on inside, the vengeance I need so bad
You were the only girl I couldn't call a temporary fad

I won't take any life, but I won't let any continue on
Because this ballad has turned away from a love song
And rather me confessing your murder of my heart
Baby, of how you just broke me all up and apart

Baby, if I hit the ground, would you freak?
Or would you shrug if off like nothing happened at all?
Your needles of accusation make me blind
So blind with all this hate, rage, depression
Selfish feelings and a selfless agenda
I'm so afraid of your feelings for me
Do you fear of all those feelings too?
Honey, I'm right there with you

I'm right there with you
