My Name is Nathaniel (And I Like to Dance)

by Marc DeGuzman   Jan 2, 2008

Tarnished by the fall, a reckoning to all
The god stood tall, unleashing a great call
Of, "Blessings to you all, as long as you don't fall."

Cursed walls and buildings, built to break down and batter
Oh God, oh sleep deep, cause we're not waking up anytime soon
And I swear, this is not a test, so don't pass me off
Cause by the time this is over, we'll all be six feet under
Listen to what I say for it will save you from the fire

Survive me by the father and don't you dare falter
When you speak my name to the highest courts
Cause you know the truth, but you refuse to admit
For the sake of your reputation, the sake of face
And does that make you a true believer?

I find it difficult that you cannot even say a syllable
Just say it, just scream it, just get it out there
Cause to the courts, there are no secrets
There is only one verdict in the end
And will you be judged worthy?

Crawling across the ground, you seek refuge
(And we are all lonely on the inside)
Bleeding, leaving a trail of all your blood
(But your wounds will heal when you...)
Meet the end (JUDGMENT)

Oh God, we are so lost
