Resolution to My Life

by Michael D Nalley   Jan 2, 2008

The New Year may bring new hope
Even though I've been such a dope
How could I have been so blind?
To the true light, and not be kind.

Does not this earth follow a true and steady course?
Obeying laws without the need for any remorse?
If only my life was centered on the Light of the Son,
With celestial glory when all is said, and done.

I want to make a resolution to my wife
To follow the course to a better life
When heaven and earth becomes as one
All things can be made new under the sun

This poem it good but not great.. i think that more emotion could have been expressed, also the rhymes are a bit overpowering to the poem and many seemed forced

Alright poem. The ryhmes seemed forced but the rest of it was good.Maybe you should just reword it a bit.Excellent topic. Not many new years poems this year. Some points were a little bit confusing but I think its because some of the sentances are oddly stuctured.A 4/5 for you efforts.
    Keep writing,
