Strength Vs. The Monster in Me

So now you've seen,
my biggest issue.
Just please remember baby,
I don't ever want to hurt you.

I don't know what I'd do,
if I ever hurt you like that.
But I would never forgive myself,
that's a sure fact.

I love you way too much,
to ever treat you that way.
And I'll love you forever,
each and every day.

I hope you can forgive me,
for such an awful thought.
And I hope you don't fear me,
for as you do my mind will rot.

It was the voice of this,
monster inside me you heard.

But with your love,
I have more strength to control him.
And without you I know,
my future would be short and dim.
