A Better Day

by Jesse Ray   Jan 2, 2008

I awoke one morning, half alive; half dead
For all the misleadings that lie ahead

Red roses dying, children's innocent smiles fade
The old are forgotten as more inventions are made
It isn't global warming that's destroying the earth
It went against us, our troubles detered God's rebirth

We see sinners ask for forgiveness, and yet again they sin
We vow to commit good deeds, but we wonder how long it's been
Repentance does not save us; salvation's far away
Hell's our only asylum if we do not make a better day
