One Small Tear

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Jan 3, 2008

One small tear across your cheek
at loss of words but much to speak
broken bottles in the sink
falling there while you just shrink
cause shes still here
. and crystal clear

you still see her deep blue eyes
and the pain of her goodbyes
your hands are shaking, your fingers are cold
your eyes are wet and theres no one to hold

one small tear across your cheek
at loss of words but lots to speak
a vivid memory or endless dream
Two Cars Hit
. and you still hear her scream

as you lay there on the street
hand in hand
she turns to you
a one last breath
says goodbye
. and then she left

the other driver had too much to drink
now you add another bottle to the sink
but it is not a victim less crime
it took her away
. she could have been yours
. she could of been mine

Dedicated to anyone who's lost someone to drunk driving. It has to stop.
