I Regret

by Rachel   Jan 3, 2008

Why is it that when I
Start truly caring, you begin
To ignore me? You don't talk,
You don't laugh. . . You ignore whatever
I say. It makes me so mad,
But there's nothing I can do.

I get over you, forget you, try to
drown out all the memories. But then
I pass by the place where we truly
Met, and I can't help but remember
Singing, football, capture the flag.
Everything that I now regret.
I regret it.

Your brother would be nice to me,
I figured it was a good sign.
But obviously it wasn't, because as soon
As I saw you again, you ignored me,
except for when you asked for some of
your precious, or to tease me about MuggleCast.
But now

I get over you, forget you, try to
drown out all the memories. But then I
pass by the place where we truly
Met, and I can't help but remember
Singing, football, capture the flag.
Everything that I now regret.
I regret.

I don't know if I'll be over you
completely for some time. You dug
Deep into my heart. But when I
Finally am, I'll be able to forget.
Finally. Finally.
