Everything Changed

Do you remember how good we used to be together?
When we would never take each other for granted
Those days that were spent in each other's arms
And each constantly left the other enchanted?

Or when every day was filled with tender kisses
Instead of lashing out with destroying hurtful words
When we each brought a smile to the other's face
And we felt only love, never shame disgust and hurt?

Do you recall those days that have long passed by
When our world's weren't in disarray and askew
When we trusted in each other so implicitly
And we knew that my heart belonged to you?

Recalling when we used to call each other on the phone
For no other reason than just to say love you and hi
Always pleasantly surprising the other every day
Now the sound of your voice makes me want to cry

When we used to lie tangled up together in bed
Staring at each other with only love in our eyes
Only now it seems there's just anger and hatred left
Don't know how to deal with all the alibi's and lies

Now I'm constantly wishing to go back to the past
Wondering why things couldn't have stayed the same
When this relationship was beautiful, precious to us both
Our love used to mean everything, now it's all changed
