The giant and the tea party

by Madison   Jan 3, 2008

Sitting neath a willow tree
i looked upon the place id set
waiting with my finest china
for the guest id called to tea
then there came a building rumble moving twords the
place i sat
immense was all that came to mind for he would shirley never fit
i tried to hand him a cup of earl
but fingers like bricks weren't meant for that
i tried to help him with his saucer but hands like boulders weren't made for this
and now i sit a lonely boy
waiting for my guest to leave
all i have is broken china
only this and shattered dreams

This is unique and quite interesting. It is a little rough at times, but over all it is amazing. Excellent job.

    Wow, this poem is original.

This seems like it would take place in garden in England.

The image of a stone man seems to be like a object that the boy disregarded at first, but when it came to him he had to deal with it, like a hardened memory.

All in all, I enjoyed reading it.

Its a little oddly written but the symbolism takes away from that so i think its brilliant 5* : )

A very sad, and surreal poem.
    the imagery is brill.
it reminds me of the stone man from the neverending story.
    a short poem, but effective.
    excellent.
