THE PRINCE

by Faith   Jan 4, 2008

I don't believe in true love
there's really no such thing
all these girls are out there.
waiting for their king.

They'll die before they find him
Because he doesn't exist
They will wait forever
wearing their pain on their wrist.

I don't believe in Mr. Right
because what good is he,
if he lets you down so much
and brings you misery?

They'll break before he comes
and just give it all away
There'll be nothing to give,
to someone, someday.

I don't believe in heartbreak
Please don't ask me why
It's not like you are dying.
You just simply cry.

They'll rip their hearts in two tonight
and break their hearts again
They lost another lover twice
they simply just can't win.

I don't believe in fairytales
Or stories such as this.
Where there is a knight and and his steed
and a princess to kiss.

I'll spend my whole life pining
For my prince to come
But it just won't happen cuz,
I believe they're dumb.

I don't believe in most things,
I really don't know why.
I've tried so hard to believe.
But not enough to cry.
