My Guardian Angel

by Sarah Dawn   Jan 4, 2008

I was walking alone through the woods one day
my face was streaked from tears taht would not stop
i was mad at the world, i was mad at God
the birds all around were singing joyful notes
the squirrls and the chipmunks scurried happily
i cried out in anger, begging with God
please take me home, i can not take this anymore
suddely a light shone behind me warming my back
i turned to see what could create such a light
i saw the face of a man with a tear streaked face
i fell to my knees, unable to hadle the pain in his eyes
an angel from Heaven stood before me
he pulled me to my feet and turned to take my hand
as we walked together in silence, my tears slowly stoped
the warmth of the angel dried my face, i turned to look in his
his face was also dried, slowly a smile appeard
it took me a miniute to realise i was smiling too
he then kissed my cheek and disappeared
in my hand where his had been, was a small silver locket
i opened it up to look inside
what i saw gave me peace and a warmth in my heart
in the locket was a picture of the angel
next to the picture, carved into the silver it said
never fear i am with you always
i am forever your guardian angel

I don't really understand this poem, I'm sure its personal. But I can tell there is a lot of feeling and emotion gone into it. Your a talented writer, keep it up. 5/5
