The Legend of Sellenia.

I know she waits, within its walls.
Black is the cave in front of me.
Her liquid metal voice it calls.
I enter but I cannot see.

I hear my footsteps on the stone,
I hear the echo of my heart.
It beats so loud, my racing pulse,
Convulsing of my chest did start.

The voice grows louder, I approach,
She must be there concealed.
I kept my wits about me,
For the fear of being killed.

Long pupils pierced the opaque dark,
I flicked on my flash light,
In front my eyes as vast as vast,
She sat there clear as night...

Sellenia, The quaintest myth?
Truth or lies? Make your choice.
The monstrous, beauty of her face,
The pureness of her voice.

Chimerical majestic beast,
The hearts of men she'd take,
A siren of the earth, she was,
Part woman, and part snake.

Another character from my book, this poem was rather quickly written through boredom. Judge me not on this run of the mill, mediocre poetry! heehee! ;)

    I like this poem. Imagery is fantastic and your word choice is excellent too. I don't like rhyming poems too much because they usually have so typical rhymes but yours are very creative and original. Idea for whole poem is quite impressing and unique.
    You managed to create very captivating and exciting atmosphere trough the piece which leaves amazing impression. I love your descriptions and I will surly read more of your work.
    Well done, this is truly greatly written!
