And She Is Rested.

by Megan Sue   Jan 4, 2008

Feeling down on my luck..
and he whispers 'I'm lonely'..
and the rain comes down...
shattering the silence of my home..
she quickly denies the fact..
facing her truths is her only fear..
quivering with soo much..that she just can't handle it..
she faces every opponent at ready..
her own journey set for her..
much has been done..little has been said..
now it is time to rest in her bed..
she turns off the light..a flicker of pain..
but all is gone..
and she is rested..
6 feet underground..
she lifts her head to motion the mourning..
and she wakes up to the sun..
shining as if there would be a tomorrow..
and she is rested..
longing for a home..above ground..
and she is rested..
And she is finally rested...
