Hydra's Blunder Versus Alice In Wonderland

by Soulful Ensemble   Jan 5, 2008

Oh love, how long it takes!
For you to decide to stay--
For you to break a heart and stray.
I've been waiting hours--no-- days,
For you to take me up and away.

When you leave Judas and join Romeo again,
The light will shine upon the plains.
Hydra's forty eyes will look to wonder,
Until they will be struck by thunder.
And what will be their blunder?
To live with forty eyes that don't look up, but under.

Mythical, though, it may be,
To put an end to Hydra's killing spree
And poke the eyes out of the beast,
bringing the fiend down to its knees.
It's more the real to agree,
To simply march separate ways, you see,
That way no miracle is in need,
And nobody has to plead,
While trying not to bleed,
For doing a good deed.

Thats what you must do, my love,
Leave Judas, with a kind parting.
Let out all the white doves,
And don't make it seem like you're darting
Just to run away, departing,
To fall in love with me--
He'll see through your plea.

Do not commit Hydra's blunder,
Do not attack the beast from yonder.
You know nothing about this wonder,
And your hands are not strong enough to make it thunder.
His forty eyes will stare you down,
His forty mouths will swallow the town,
And his forty hearts will drown,
Making him angry and wanting to make frowns.

His forty souls will burn,
His forty pairs of arms will yearn,
To kill some forty ferns,
And steal the beauty of the town in turn.

His forty tongues will savour,
The taste of the good sumeritans.
And his forty claws will tear through
With cold, bare hands.
And they will make your hearts drown into misery,
As they touch you so convincingly.
With force that is no joke,
Your throats will fail to speak and choke.

What about those who never spoke?
Are their lives, too, nothing but smoke?
I can say that Hydra forgives no folk
Once, his heart, you provoke,
His soul will never rest until you croak.

So don't commit Hydra's blunder,
Don't break hearts with force and malice.
Take it slow and never wonder,
If it is right to live like Alice.
Its better to be trapped in wonderland.
