Hey Crayola, Color Me Unhappy.

by ABake   Jan 5, 2008

I wanted to paint you a black and white picture,
But it seems that crayola wants everyone to be as happy as them,
So your painting is blue and yellow instead-
If you ask me it is a bit too cheery for the depression filled world we live in today;
But oh well, they say it's the thought that counts the most anyhow...

Wait, what if you thought I was saying you should be happier?
I don't think you could understand what I was thinking anyways...
Maybe if Crayola didn't expect everyone to be so damn happy all the time,
They must be insane, considering the way life is this day in age:
Tell me darling, do you like the oh so cheery painting?

These days, most people prefer more simple colors,
Simpler colors means less creativity, which also causes more apathy,
I wish that I could change that blue to black and yellow to white,
So sweetie, color me unhappy, with the darkest colors you have-
That way no one will dare look to long, it's a safety hazard,

Honestly, I hope you hate the painting just as much as I do,
And wouldn't you know I signed it with hearts and ex's and oh's...

This was honeslty unique and creative. I hvan't read anything like this before your mind definitly has wondered into something interesting here. Your sarcasm I adored it was bitter and sweet but also really deep. I liked the depressive vibe you portrayed over the atmosphere it was definitly full of truth. A favorite part? that's impossible. I could not pick out a favorite part im not even going to try. I may aswell copy and paste the whole piece and say that it is my favorite part. I loved the title of this, it was original. I don't know how you came up with this idea but it's fantastic. Well done. An amazing poem. ~Mel

I love this... It is endlessly powerful and unique, different from anything I've read before. The emotions inside are truly intense and whole poem is absolutely powerful. The idea for the piece is also interesting along with your creative, very vivid descriptions that fill every stanza.
I can't chose my favorite part, whole poem is fantastic.
    Keep writing!
