Tree

by creeesta   Jan 5, 2008

I am a tree
my branches tangled into a mob of confusion
too prickly to be touched
to ugly to be looked at
with the years i've spent in confinement
i have grown older then my youth
i'm dully brown

spots of black
like

ash

the color
the weight

the nothingness

i am a tree

i am nothing -----

Well I think a tree is something ... I have to say that I really like your poem. I think that the nature section of this site has to be where one can find really wonderfully written poems. They arent old and dull like so may other love poems. Im sure mine fall into that category once in awhile. I found your work very interesting. Keep up the good words and may all your writings bring you peace.
