And i'm not sure why

For some reason i wasn't sad
To see you have to leave
Moving away because of your father
Who i never did get to meet

We had been best friends forever
Since the day we first meet each other
In preK were in just a day
You could make a new best friend

From then on we were unseperable
You could never find us apart
And as time went on we only grew closer
...That is until 'She' showed up

That pretty little girl
With a smile like the sun
Who had you wrapped around her finger
Like nothing more than a little toy

I knew she was nothing but trouble
But nomatter how much i warned you
...You simply wouldn't listen
And maybe thats why...i didn't cry

For months you ditched me
Just to see 'Her'
That dreadful little witch
Who took you away

The day you moved away
She dumped you like it was nothing
That two year relationship
To her seemed like another day

And as you started ot cry
I simply could not comfort you
Even though you looked at me pleadingly
I just couldn't...open up

So as the car moved away
Then went out of sight
I simply stood there as if frozen
As the realization hit me
...I was in love with you...

The thought shook me up inside
How could i love another guy
But as i thought back on our memories
I knew i had loved you from the start
But the game was now over
