Life of One Another

by Bradley Peter   Jan 6, 2008

That time he and Joe bunked off school
Joe broke his leg, and Dean got a beating
Joe got a cast and called the local fool
Dean got a kicking and a hero's greeting

Did it all together, shared the same air
They were more like family that friends
If Dean was in trouble, Joe'd be there
To face all the 'down sides' life sends

Even lost their virginities, just hours apart
To girls very similar, in fact they were twins
Spent a night in the cells it wasn't too smart
Someone had to punish them for their sins

Grew up, got married, on the same day
Went on their honeymoons, yes, together
Had kids, grew old, began to turn grey
They were truly like birds of the feather

Dean almost died of cancer, at age 52
And Joe took it harder than even Dean
But he was a fighter and he pulled through
And Joe was the happiest he'd ever been

Their children grew up and flew the nest
And sadly they both lost their wives
They tried to cope and did their best
They were the loves of each other's lives

Wow..I don't think it gets no closer between friends when hit two girls of the same family lol j/k. Man, this reminds me of my best friend and me, but i don't think I'm going to take him on my honeymoon with me lmao. Once again well written.
