The Pearly Steed

by Crimson Isengard   Jan 6, 2008

I walked along a mountain path
The moon my only guide
A mist hung over every step
With pines at either side

I came upon a large clear space
And saw a glorious steed
With mane and coat of pearly white
He was magnificaent indeed

Upon a closer glance I saw
An iridescent white horn
And from the pearly steed's mouth
These words he said to warn

"Go Back" he called
And even to this day
I cannot even comprehend
The words he had to say

    I LOVE this poem.
    Awesome imagery.
    I write a lot about fantasy-like encounters,
so its brilliant to see someone else write something similar.
    Wonderfully penned.
    Excellent.

    Keep em' coming.
