Saara's Story

by Viola   Jan 7, 2008

She tells me her heart's story
Spills out the words like precious stones
Falling in the river
Making a rippling effect

His name she speaks in such a gentle way
Her eyes bright, lit up like stars

There's isn't a reason I can find
To convince her any different
Because it's in those moments
Clear as day, pure as the rain
I can see it

The love she feels mirrored on her face
Spreading from the soul out
Warming her veins
Such a beautiful story

Then a smile breaks across her face
Wide and beautiful--real
As I offer a recollection
Of the time she told me
He loves to listen as she plays the piano

And she says to me
"You just made me smile the biggest I have in a while"
Suddenly I achieved my reason for living today

Here comes the feeling of reward
Of an internal happiness that can only come
From seeing a friend that happy
That smile is so precious

In her words I'd say
"And you feel golden."
