Where Have You Gone?

We go into high school
the best of friends,
but I guess
not for very long

we both start to change
we find are prince
that we always talked about
when we were little

I guess you think
thats enough for you
because ever since you found him
we don't hang out

it's ok
I understand
that you really like him
but what about us?

don't I mean anything to you
we've been through so much
you were there when I needed you most,
but i guess you just don't care anymore

you tell me I've changed
and I know I have,
but so have you
I don't even know you anymore

Every other minute
I find out stuff that you do
like you and him making out
I don't care, I promise

why didn't you tell me though?
you trusted everyone but me
it's fine
I guess our friendship wasn't meant to be

I just want you to know
I'm here for you
if you ever need a shoulder to cry on
I promise you that!

    This is a great poem you really put heart into it.
    i kind of feel the same way i had a freind like
    that too... it's nice to kno that i'm not the only one thats in that situation.

    I can relate to this too! it always sucks losing a best friend, especially to a someone else. but no matter what you'll always be there for them

    Most everyone has been through this before. Sadly it seems as if it is part of growing up. I can truely relate to it since this happened between me and my old best friend as well. I think the word choice could have been a little better but other than that its a nice piece of work. 5/5

    Aww. This story is sad. I can truly relate and it sucks. Friendship poems are not normally my preference but I decided to read this one and am glad I did. Great job hun :]]
