Mistaken Heart

He takes me out at night and calls me just to say hi.
You don't answer my calls, and you always lie.

He asks me what I want to do.
I don't have a choice with you.

He buys me gifts even though I say he doesn't have to.
He wants to give me the world unlike you.

He hangs out with my friends and me.
You don't see that's where I want you to be.

He drives me around for hours just so we can talk.
You won't even go for a short walk.

He's always there when I need someone to talk to.
He doesn't run away like you.

He would do anything to make me smile.
You don't think the little things are worthwhile.

He catches me before I fall.
You don't show up at all.

He is so right in every way.
So why does my heart still long for you every minute of every day?
