My Heart's Cry

1-6-08. My newest poem and maybe a song..??

To waste my life before your feet
is what my heart desires
to please you is my only goal
so come and set this heart on my fire

You've snatched my life from death
and called me to so much more
forever i will worship you
with hands raised and knees to floor

Deep inside this heart
i groan and yes it aches
I've given all to know your love
so here, I'm yours to take

Laying down my pride and shame
you draw me close to you
offering me peace and joy
cleansing me as new

With everything i put you through
you long to dwell with me
to dance and sing and laugh and cry
you've awakened me to see

So with these simple words
that can't explain enough
how truly glorious you are
i offer you my love
