Twenty Miles

by omen   Jan 7, 2008

One way ticket, out to anywhere
I'd like to stay, but I wouldn't have a prayer
Don't look as if you couldn't see
This coming, this is it for me

Twenty miles, away from the only home I've ever known
Empty pockets, and nothing to talk about, but the lonely road
I don't know what I should do
But I can't picture me without you
Twenty miles and no where, no where to go

The end of life, seems so bittersweet
Through the eyes of those we couldn't meet
Forgive for nothing, don't ask at all
How would they know how it feels to fall

Please forgive me, for what I've done
Sadly its not over, my journeys just begun
I know I care for you, that much is true
What else must I prove

Twenty miles, and no where to go
