A True Disney Tale

by silhouette fairy   Jan 8, 2008

When you wish upon a star,
I've heard it makes no difference who you are,
some day it will come true,
for a wish may bring anything.

Star light it shines so bright.
I close my eyes wishing with all my might.
Soon I know I'll wake
and beside me he will stay.

Some day my prince will come.
The day we meet I'll know he's the one,
and standing there he'll take my hand
whispering, "Finally, my wish came true."

Alone I sleep, somber and quiet.
A wish from my lips may end it,
only time will tell,
and alone no longer will I be.

Only do I awake to see
a smile shining so bright back at me.
"Good morning," you say, kissing my forehead.
I smile back, completely at ease.

Suddenly I remember my wish,
and how I knew after our first kiss
that, like all Disney movies,
I will live happily ever after.

All settled down,
my wish very true now.
Never do I wish to wake,
for a dream is a wish your heart makes.
