Thank You Sister...

by Maddyxxx   Jan 8, 2008

We both grew up fast
Into these adult worlds
We were inseparable you & me

I remember the day you left
You & mom yelling at one another
Then it was just little old me & my mom

You where suppose to be the one I looked up to
But this turned out differently
We grew apart
And I learned the awful truth about my sister

Nothing but more let downs
And crying nights as I grew older
You slipped away
And never gave a damn

I grew apart from you
I grew to hate you

Because it seems like you gave up
And your so lost as lost is my big brother
And wish I you would of stayed
So I could of taught you well
As well as my mother taught me

But all you do is turn down the wrong road
I wish I could of done something
To save you from all the bad
So your little sister could have someone to admire
but instead she admires no one now
Not as before..

I know that can be tough to watch your family fall apart. This poem really captures it. Keep your chin up, things have to get better.
