When one loses faith

by Finalgravedigger   Jan 10, 2008

Filled with radiant light
and a tainted mind
always able to fight
but never able to hide.

With ragged wings
still able to fly
loved to sing
songs that would make any cry.

Always wering a frown
but doing the nicest things
never having his head down
even though failure was all he could bring.

As time went along
more jaded he became
trying so hard
but in the end it was all the same.

His beliefs slowly died
as faith never came through
all his life seemed a lie
that he just wanted true.

I really like the first stanza! It's the best and pulls you right in. So you've made a great opening. (:
    The rest of the poem is nice as well, although I would change the last sentence in;
that he just wanted to be true
But that's my opinion, of course. And thank you for your comment.
