Ball and Chain

by Weeping Wolf   Jan 10, 2008

With a bow of submission
sarcastic tears of defeat,
"Lead me on, oh Mighty Master"
tug along the ball and chain that is my heart
with one leg digging its heel in the dirt
in an attempt of draining resistance,
the other leaping to catch up,
and walk by your side faithfully
but the closer I get, you only push me away.

Dry, stinging words
a delicate piano key
plays the endless beat of the waltz
yet I cannot pull away...

Arms that strangle
Eyes that only crave
A heart that looks the other way...

I strain to look past,
but you block out the sunlight
Yet even through, the hate of you
our eyes stray, a body yearns
Have you ever felt the feeling
of trying to catch dust in the wind?

    Konbonwa, Onee-chan!

Whoa... my favorite peace by far! It's mystifying, loveless yet loving. Wonderful work of art right here ;)

I love how you add the imagery at just the right parts. great job <3
